Navigating the Application

The StowFindSell interface is designed to be highly responsive, meaning it adapts seamlessly whether you are sitting at a desktop computer or walking around your house using your mobile phone.

Desktop Navigation

On a desktop or tablet computer, the primary navigation menu is located at the top of the screen. The StowFindSell logo on the left always takes you back to the homepage, and the header contains three main links:

  • Dashboard: The central hub showing your Household's total estimated value, total item count, and a grid of your top-level rooms and locations.
  • Garage Sale: A specialized screen for managing items that you want to sell, donate, or get rid of.
  • Help Center: The guide library you are reading right now.

To the right of those links you will also find:

  • Global Search: Click the magnifying glass icon to expand the search bar. As you type, you are taken to a dedicated search results page that instantly matches your words against Item names, descriptions, categories, tags, and AI-detected labels.
  • Concierge: The dark pill-shaped button in the top right opens the SFS Concierge, your AI assistant, in a panel on the right side of the screen.
  • Profile Dropdown: Click your initials in the top right corner to access View Profile, All Items, Print QR Codes, Export Proof Pack (hidden for Viewers), Household Settings (Admins only), and Sign Out. On mobile, this menu also includes Dashboard and Help Center shortcuts.

Looking for All Items? It lives in the profile dropdown on desktop and in the bottom navigation bar on mobile.

Mobile Navigation

When using StowFindSell on a smartphone, the interface changes to optimize for one-handed use:

  • Bottom Navigation Bar: The three core views (Dashboard, All Items, and Garage Sale) are pinned to the bottom of your screen for immediate thumb access.
  • Collapsible Search: Tapping the search magnifying glass icon expands a full-width search bar over the navigation.

The "+ Add" Button (Quick Actions)

In the bottom right corner of the application—visible on almost every screen—you will notice a large, solid green square button with a white "+" symbol in the middle.

This is the Global Action Button. It is your primary tool for adding data to your inventory quickly, without needing to click back and forth between different pages.

Clicking or tapping the large green "+" button reveals a menu with three powerful options:

  1. Add Item: Opens the detailed form to log a single object, take a photo, and assign a value.
  2. Bulk Add: Opens a photo uploader designed for cataloging entire rooms or boxes very quickly. Drop in (or select) a batch of photos, optionally group several photos into a single item, and upload — each photo (or group) becomes a draft item that the AI analyzes for you, landing in your Dashboard's Requires Review queue.
  3. Add Container: Creates a new physical space, like a room, a storage bin, or an outdoor area to store things in.

Security Note: The large green "+" button is only visible to users who have the Admin or Editor role. If you are a Viewer, you will not see this button, as you cannot add new entities to the household.
